I had a problem this morning on my Mk2a with 2.0b3 that I haven't seen before. My Mk2a isn't installed in the car yet, by I am still bringing it into the office everyday. It had therefore been sitting in the footwell of my car (in it's case) on the journey in, so it was a little cold when I plugged it into the power on my desk.

When it booted it failed to start the player and displayed the message "failed to unmask ide". I power cycled it again and all was well.

Was the hard drive just a little slow to spin up because it was cold or something ?
